Workshop in a Room
Teaching prompt craft through the joy of trying to copy an image.
A team offsite built around a three-level image-replication challenge in a generative tool, framed by a short, accessible primer on prompt engineering. The point was not to lecture on AI but to let people feel it.
The problem
Most AI training is either too abstract to stick or too technical to enjoy. Teams leave with vocabulary, not intuition.
The approach
A tight arc — a light introduction to prompt types and their role-specific relevance, then a game that forced participants to iterate, notice, and refine. It closed with a single "magic prompt" takeaway anyone could carry home.
The outcome
A room of people who could suddenly talk about prompting from experience rather than theory — and a reusable format for AI literacy that doesn’t feel like a course.
